I don't normally write these things but here I felt compelled too. This place charges the highest "incidental" fee aka a security deposit of any hotel anywhere I have ever had to stay. Not only that for a hotel that was not 100% booked when I made my reservation or when I checked in they refused to honor my request for a top floor room, away from vending machines and the elevator. I was placed on the second floor in the middle of the hallway. The guest overhead either had a child or a great dane in the room because all night long all I heard was the pounding of the floor. Then another neighbor played their TV so loud I didn't need to be in the room to know what was happening. Finally, the last time I stayed in this particular hotel the elevator went out. Guess what still has not been fixed yet, yup the elevator and it broke over a month ago. As the saying goes: 1st times on you, second times on me. There won't be a third.

One desk clerk was available as multiple customers were waiting to check in. The outlets in the room do not allow for plugs to grip into.

The building needs a lot of work. They Comfort side is in better shape than the MainStay side. The AC in the hallways did not work so it was very humid and there was a foul smell. The room was nice and the hot breakfast was great.
